





Velma Florence Brasel James was born in Jasper, Arkansas on August 10, 1899. She married George Dewey James on August 6, 1918. They raised twelve children together. She was an educator and continued her education by earning a teaching certificate as an adult. She taught school in Jasper and was loved by her students. She passed away on May 7, 1982. She delighted in her family and wanted all of her children to gather and celebrate each other as often as possible. She looked forward to when they would all get to heaven where we are confident she is dwelling with Jesus waiting for all her family to join her there for eternity.
