Liam Devoe Okkerse was born February 19, 2014 in New Bern, North Carolina. He passed away March 14, 2019 in New Bern, North Carolina. Liam was such a sweet little guy and gave the best hugs. One of the things Liam loved most was the beach. He always wanted to go. On that last beach outing, Liam was caught up in a rip tide. Liam perished that day despite the heroic efforts of Austin Potter who also died that day trying to save Liam. We all look forward to a big hug from Liam when we see him again in Heaven.
